Dance Shows

We love a dance show at Lisa Jane and produce a highly professional (but also highly enjoyable) performance every two years - the students absolutely love it! We like to create a family atmosphere where everyone pulls together to make the performances an amazing showpiece for their talents.

The dance teachers make sure every pupil is considered in every dance piece.  We know which students want to be at the front and those that would rather be at the back but encourage everyone to be involved.

We have parents helping backstage and the pupils have an absolute ball.

DANCE FESTIVAL

On Sunday 29th March we held our first in-house dance festival which was such a superb day. All the entrants did so well and I was really proud of everyone.

Choreography Competitions

We hold an in-house Choreography Competition in the years where there is no dance show. The students make up their own dance to their own music and their own costume. There is no restriction on age and everyone gets to perform their dances on stage in front of an audience and an examiner.

It’s great fun for the children and, again, another performing opportunity. Most often the children choreograph a dance with their friends and it’s a wonderful way to learn how to collaborate with other their peers.
